Topic: does anyone know what happened to paraphore

Posted under General

Just recently I was browsing through some of the nsfw games I had installed and was reminded of Paraphore. I went to the Paraphore website and found that it, the developers official discord server, the dev's patreon and just about everything related to the project had been nuked off the internet. I even went to the wayback machine to see if maybe it was still possible to download the full release build of the game and nope! So, now, after reading a couple journals from Kittery on inkbunny, I'm left wondering. What the hell happened?

What do you mean what happened? The journal you mentioned already laid everything out for you.
The developers are no longer making games due to "creative differences between Fallow and [Kittery]".

I don't know what you mean by the Discord server being nuked, but I was able to join it via the still-active Paracord Discord server invite link that was posted on their latest submission.

I went ahead and asked one of the admins there and here are the answers to your questions:

  • What happened to the Paraphore website?
    • "Fallowwing and Kittery had some creative differences, parted ways the website went down in the process."
  • What happened to the Patreon?
    • "Patreon didn't want to host the NSFW content on their site anymore and it went down."
  • What happened to the posts on e621 (i.e., pool #18788)?
    • "An artist who we commissioned for a single piece of artwork and credited for their involvement decided to quit NSFW art and demanded e6 DNP everything ever credited to them, which meant since the game has their creator tag on it, it was automatically removed in the purge."
  • Where can I get the final build of the game?
    • You can still get version 1.0.0 on Kittery's Inkbunny (requires Flash): https://inkbunny.net/s/1601818
    • However, the final build of the game is version 1.0.1, which includes significant bugfixes and is available on Windows, Android, and Flash.
      • For Flash, you can download it via the Wayback Machine (link has other titles by the devs as well)
      • For Windows & Android, you will need to join the Discord server and request it there.

Oh my god, I forgot I had scat blacklisted on IB and couldn't see any of the posts, fuck me. The interphore 0.1.4 journal on inkbunny really only addressed why development of the game stopped, not everything else I was asking questions about. Also, I wasn't really wondering how to download the game, but thanks for asking anyway. Other than that, thanks to you and that admin a bunch for clearing things up!
