Topic: How do I replace my old/outdated art?

Posted under General

Since I was kinda panic is that some users keep tagging my post that I don't like it, so I decide to edit my art by drawing legs so my character doesn't look young and short. However do I need to delete my art just to upload my new updated piece? Also I am a new member of this site

Staff can give you permits to replace images (Unless one sees this forum post and gives you the permit, I'd recommend trying to poke a staff member on discord and ask if you can get the permit). You can also upload new versions, and flag the old version as inferior version to the new version, and indicate in description of the new version that it's an updated version.

In both cases it can take few days to have the images replaced, so don't hold your breath.

Dmailing works, using discord is sometimes instantaneous

According to our TWYS policy, we tag young on posts featuring characters that look "young", even though their canonical age might suggest otherwise.
So please refrain from removing these tags as it can be considered as Tagging Abuse to repeatedly remove valid tags.

If you are unhappy with your characters being labelled as "young", you may add in the supplementary adult_(lore) tag to clarify things.

No, you don't need to. There is an image replacement feature that allows certain users with the "replacements beta" privilege to replace the images on any given post without deleting the old post entirely.

However, I'm not sure if it is allowed to submit an updated image that significantly differs from the original image (such as in your case, adding legs to the old image).
Normally, in such a case, we would maintain both images as separate posts with different sets of tags.

The young tag is just used because some characters look young, its to avoid people who just outright don't want to see young looking characters, regardless if they are by lore an older age. Such as something that is "thousands of years old" but looks like a child.

It would be labelled young regardless because that is what you see. Hence the adult_(lore) tag.

I've never really heard of replacing images with what is essentially a different edited image though, sounds like a tagging nightmare.
