How long is the wait period before I can start commenting?

If I remember correctly, you'll need to wait seven days from account creation before you can start commenting or uploading. After that, you're good to go.
I think this page here https://e621.net/wiki_pages/2423 might be a little bit out of date because some limits might have shifted a little bit over the years, but it at least still gives a ballpark idea for things.

well yeah, definitely some of it has to be wrong, since it says seven days for forum posts. it seems like the restriction for those has either been removed or reduced from seven days to three, I believe the same is true for blips as well.

Some things are 3, some are 7, and everything is either one of the two
