Topic: Tag alias: pseudo-urethral_penetration -> pseudo-penile_penetration

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag alias #75455 pseudo-urethral_penetration -> pseudo-penile_penetration is pending approval.

Reason: The intent behind pseudo-urethral_penetration seems to be apparent urethral penetration of a pseudo-penis, but that would be aptly described by pseudo-penile_penetration. Where the urethra of the pseudo-penis is specifically penetrated in the picture, which does not seem to be the case in practice, it would just be ordinary urethral_penetration.

Note: the assumption is made that pseudo-penile_penetration should mean the penetration of a pseudo-penis by a penis or object, as is currently defined by the wiki, and in analogy to urethral_penetration or vaginal_penetration. However, it is a very ambiguous tag since penile_penetration does not mean penetration of the penis with a penis or other object, but rather the penetration of an orifice with a penis. See also the pseudo-penis_penetration tag, which means all penetrations involving a pseudo-penis in some way. Now that I think about it, maybe the pseudo-penis related tags just need a general overhaul to better reflect that the pseudo-penis can either penetrate or be penetrated.

The pseudopenis is also often used to penetrate, so this may be a bad tag name. Calling it urethral is just wrong, though.

Yeah, that's probably true. I suggested the alias because of how the tag appears to be used, but going through the list and retagging, then removing the pseudo-urethral tag entirely, may be the actual proper solution. The tag does not have a wiki entry and is not at all self-explanatory but seemed to be being used only in places where pseudo-penile_penetration would be used...

Also, I believe you are thinking of pseudo-penis_penetration, which is defined on the wiki as any penetration involving a pseudo-penis. This appears to mean both penetrating a pseudo-penis and penetrating with a pseudo-penis, making pseudo-penile_penetration implicate pseudo-penis_penetration, but not alias it. Overall, specification of the use of a pseudo-penis as either penetrator or receptacle definitely needs better tags, but it seems like the alias I have suggested isn't liked by the community.
