Hi. I'm posting this here to bring your attention to it, and the plight of the users on the e6ai site. Since September 2024 when the management there decided to change the rules governing the site the user base has had significant issue with the management of the site, the arbitrary decisions, lack of transparency and standards, and abusive practices that have occurred.

Please read the forum posts and discord channel content from September 2024 to today and make your own determination. As they have locked the thread with the most recent discussion please read that thread first.

We have zero control over whatever policy or management practices that are done over at e6ai, so coming over here to air your frustrations would accomplish nothing.

You are encouraged to approach the head admin, NotMeNotYou, who is also the head admin here on e621, to discuss issues on moderation.

If you want to be taken seriously at all, if you want to be treated as artists, then quality standards are very, very necessary.

Part of the reason people so despise AI art is because of the abysmal signal-to-noise ratio. Mediocre generations vastly, vastly outnumber good ones because mediocre ones are so easy to make. Thus, it gains a reputation for being — to use the Gen Alpha word — slop. Mass-produced. Meaningless. Indistinguishable.

I'm more of an apologist about AI then most people here. But if you're not willing to improve with your tools of choice, then that is what would make you not an artist by any standard. Much more than the tool itself.

But that's what appeals to you about it, isn't it? The lack of a skill floor? Well... if you thought you had an easy ride to recognition, I'm sorry, but that is just not how it works. The easier something is, the more competition you'll have. That's just math.

TL:DR; I am firmly on the janitors' side here. Even in AI, you have to git gud if you don't want to go be lost in the forgotten masses.

If you think that you will find a sympathetic audience here, you are very much mistaken.
E621 also takes quality control fairly seriously. Based on your account age, you should already know that.

And coming over here to start a drama thread is just poor manners.
