seems like it was more than just Cheri. the stuff still appears to be available at source for now (or most of it at least).
I can't find anything on the authors socials either, it's a mystery
Sucks, I liked the art. Maybe Atrolux got a fun letter from the glowies. Maybe guilt from the extreme nature of the art. Who knows.
Someone on their IB asked about this, and Atrolux claimed they had a few reasons
Tbh I totally get why they did this. Incest is already a pretty controversial thing to draw, but cub is on a whole other level of taboo.

On a personal level for myself, I liked the theme as it were when it started out and while risque, it was not over the top.
Later it kinda snowballed into much more of a uhhh, how deep does this rabbit hole go when it started getting into a level with her kids. That was going to be a hard way to continue with on a regular basis unable to add really much more of interest to the story, so it was petered out near the end of the run.
So while I agree as well why he pulled it, the arc of the story was pretty much at a wall anyway.

- It's a big risk to their "brand"
- They're not all that into drawing cub anymore
- The amount of attention it was getting on sites such as e6 was starting to make them uncomfortable

I get this, but I don't get the brand part considering the foundation and how those pieces are the most popular of their works
The pieces still exist on other sites, including their Inkbunny, so I don't really see the point. If they're trying to distance themselves from the Cheri series, why only take them down on e6? Just doesn't make any sense.

E621 is a pretty popular page, more popular than Inkbunny, also there is lots of scrapping there than in other pages.
Five full pages of art beloved by the community, all gone in an instant...
Can any archive be set up? The ratings and favourites were massive, there has to still be an audience for these posts.

There are a couple of archives out there, sadpanda works if you know how to access it.
but it's all still up on inkbunny.
There is definitely an audience for it as all of the deleted posts are amongst their most popular and highest rated as evident if you do a status any and order by score or favcount
I've gotten into the habit of trying to archive stuff myself as a lot of amazing artists can sometimes just up and disappear and delete everything without saying a word.
The thing I'm kinda sad about is all the fanart being deleted too. Like, all the original art is still pretty collated on IB, but the fan art doesn't really have that same archival redundancy.

oh yeah that gets tricky in that you have to search status:any and track down sources and artists.
I don't think there is a proper archive for that kind of thing either, not even for this specific instance but as a general thing

That is a surprising amount of high Fave'd and upvoted artwork that was purged.
From the art archival site? I understand the DNP list I mean I get it but man I wish other places had this places tagging and blacklisting system.
