Topic: Remove hairless_cat/dog implication to hairless

The bulk update request #10970 is pending approval.

remove implication hairless_cat (3663) -> hairless (5892)
remove implication hairless_dog (786) -> hairless (5892)

Reason: My dear brothers and sisters, we have been lied too. They masquerade among us, yet I have exposed the truth. Many of these 'so-called' hairless creatures have HAIR! Let us resolve this vile, disgusting mistake immediately. All in favor say aye.

The wiki says 'lacking most or all'

There's also a distinction between hairless and furless. A furless breed of cat, like a sphinx, can be depicted with hair:

and is no more hairless than a typical human or humanoid. Fur and hair are handled separately in most other respects, so it seems odd for hairless_cat, hairless_dog, and hairless to refer to fur and hair. IMO, hairless_cat and hairless_dog should be aliased to furless_cat and furless_dog, to clarify it's about lacking a fur pelt and not head and body hair. There are posts tagged hairless have plenty of fur and simply lack hair:

And on a functional level, hybrids exist so a creature can be part some furless breed but have plenty of fur from another thing they're hybridized with, thus not be depicted furless.

In this case I think it's a nomenclature problem. A hairless cat colloquially means it has no fur

Species implication to feature shouldn't be done in the first place.

Honestly yeah
If someone wants to find sphinx cats, they'll just search for hairless_cat
The hairless_dog implication makes this post a liar
