Topic: frot is mistagged

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

or the wiki is misinforming. It says nothing more than or less that frot is cockrubbing. So why are images being tagged as frot that don't have penises/gayness/cockrubbing on?

Wikipedia defines frottage as

wikipedia wrote:
The term frottage derives from the French verb frotter, "to rub." Three terms derive from frotter. These include frottage, the sexual act involving rubbing; frot, the sexual act that refers exclusively to male-male genital rubbing without penetration (but may also be called frottage); and frotteurism, a paraphilia involving obsession with frottage or performing frottage non-consensually (e.g., pressing one's genitals against a stranger on a crowded subway); this was once called "frottage," but the usage is no longer acceptable.

In current usage, frottage is the act of achieving sexual pleasure with a partner or partners, whether naked or clothed (more commonly known as dry humping or dry sex), without penetration. This can include using almost every part of the body, including the buttocks, the breasts, abdomen, thighs, feet, hands, legs, and sexual organs. Frottage can include genital-genital contact, sometimes called genito-genital or GG rubbing, and most of the other forms of non-penetrative sex.

But here, we don't always use wikipedia definitions.

Frot is a type of frottage that specifically involves penis-to-penis rubbing. Tribadism is the female "equivalent," vulva-to-vulva rubbing, or "scissoring."

This is how I think it should work.

frottage --(alias)--> invalid tag non-penetrative_sex
frot --(imply)--> non-penetrative_sex
tribadism --(imply)--> non-penetrative_sex

I think it should work this way because frot and frottage are too similar. Frottage is an umbrella term for non-penetrative sex, but using non-penetrative_sex as a tag is less confusing.

Thoughts?

If frot and frottage are too similar, then you alias one to the other, not alias one to invalid_tag.

They mean two completely different things. But I see what you mean.

Instead,

frottage --(alias)--> non-penetrative_sex

But "frot" and "frottage" are not the same thing. Frot is a type of frottage.

frot =/= non-penetrative sex

that's like saying rubbing together and non-penetrative sex is indistinguishable. so this says non-penetrative sex is the same as a blowjob for example.

That emoticon makes me uneasy of whether or not I should take that seriously.

You mean all that time it's penetration? I thought the only types were anal intercourse and vaginal intercourse. -_-"

Then why not frot imply -> frottage

Because the two terms are similar and often confused, as seen in this very thread.

That's like saying you don't use the dictionary's definitions. Why is this not the case? It would solve so many problems we're already having because of idiotic definitions varying opinions.
