Topic: Mobile Upload Suggestion

Posted under General

I thought I'd pop by and throw my suggestion here, I think there should be some sort of mobile upload solution. It might sound a tad odd, but some people might actually use this feature, I know I would.

There many ways to do something like this, one of them being like twitpic.com. A user is given a "secret" email address ([email protected] for example) and they can attach an image to the email and send it, they will recieve and email back saying "Click this link to edit the picture (link)" and thats it.

An alternative option would be to have an [email protected] where people can either, just send pics then get a link to edit them with.

Thanks for reading :D

Wouldn't be too hard to write a script that uses e621's API to upload images that the script gets emailed.

I have no use for anything like that, so I am not going to spend my time making it, although, if you paid me I would make it ;)

That makes sense for a site like Twitter, where people upload camera phone pics of themselves and their friends out drinking and what have you.

Not so much for a site like this. e621 doesn't even have many magazine scans that other sites like Danbooru have that might make sense to capture on a mobile device from time to time.
