Disagree, no good reason for an alias has been given, and no good target for the alias has been given which preserves the tag's meaning.
If it's clutter then presumably there's an existing tag expressing the concept better. Perhaps you should suggest that as the target of the alias instead of invalid tag. If there isn't a good alias for it, it's not clutter.
Suggest nightmare fuel, nightmarish, glowing eyes, soul devouring eyes etc. Or documenting the concept and making a category in its own right maybe.
(Is it enough of a thing to be worth tagging separately? Maybe not. But let's not implement this with a bad alias.)

All images with Go To Sleep are usually tagged nightmare Fuel as it is, Soul devouring eyes is an invalid tag and will be removed on case by case {unless they eyes are quite literally devouring souls.} Go to sleep is tagged purely from an opinion standpoint, that an image is "Creepy or will stop people from getting to sleep" because of that, its invalid to the image tagging system and has been removed.

I agree with Celestia.
It has a different literal meaning, but its purpose is the same as nightmare_fuel. Actually, in order to have a nightmare you'd have to go to sleep in the first place, and the nightmare would make it inherently harder to stay asleep; so in the end they do both mean the same thing.

Works for me: this is a better alias.
Still disagree that simple removal is generally the approach to take in situations like these, but thanks for the rationale, Princess Celestia. Happy to see it go if the meaning is preserved.

Alias to nightmare_fuel, aye.
As for Soul_devouring_eyes: Not a literal tag. They are eyes that fall into the Uncanny Valley where they look off and it's really fucking creepy. post #127903 is a great example of this. post #124028 is another good example. Some of them don't fit, I'll agree, but it's still a valid tag, much like what_has_science_done. It doesn't always fit into nightmare_fuel, as it can just be plainly creepy or weird without being nightmare inducing, though they do have overlap.
