Some clarification about the previous news post regarding the posting of entire webcomics: Posting standard comics/collections/etc is perfectly fine (assuming it adheres to our Avoid Posting list). What we DON'T want is the entirety of webcomics, such as TwoKinds, Better Days, Original Life, and so on. A particularly good page every now and then is fine, but otherwise we'd very much prefer that you visit the webcomic's site itself.

Sorry for the ~6hrs of downtime last night, folks - something locked up in the e621 server and thanks to the DDoS this weekend we were unable to receive notifications of downtime. We're investigating the cause, and have fixed notifications again. Please bear with us <3

The intermittent downtime today is being caused by a neighbouring server experiencing a large DDoS attack (about 3-4Gbps). We're taking steps with our upstream to mitigate it, and we hope to have the site stable soon.

Well, that was a joke well played, and to those who were really bothered by it. Did you really miss the button on the top of the screen that fixed it for you? Jeeze guys I wouldn't leave you hanging.
