why did penny seem so frightened when bojack showed up again?

It's, IMO, a weird mixture of situations and feelings.

For starters, after her escapade with BoJack failed, things between her and her mom went sour, maybe Charlotte tried to talk sense into her, how she was foolish to think a 17 y/o could ever hookup with a middle-aged man and make it work. Maybe she was still lusting for him after he was gone, only to realize later on that her mom was right, it was ridiculous and plain wrong. She probably felt embarrased of her attitude.

There's also the offchance that she still, to some level, loves him, despite her embarrasment. But not as a man, but as a sort of a father or older brother figure, since she was one of the few people to realize BoJack was hurting on the inside and he was lost. Kinda like all teenagers are.

We also have the weird way he approached her. Had he been sober and approached her honestly and upfront, things would've still been tense, but at least they would've able to exchange a few words, or maybe say goodbye for good and give her closure. But on the mediocre and drunken way he was, and all of those previous thoughts suddenly rushing thru her head, she probably feared for the worst. "Did he came to rape me? Kill me? Was he after my family, are they ok? Is this the guy I once considered part of my family and my life? What the fuck is going on?" are probably things that she asked herself quickly as she retreated, quickly pulling out the only defense card she had and stated that she was 17 then, to go away and let her go.

I think that's the reason she was frightened. I was honestly pissed of at her "I was 17 i didn't know better" line, since their incident probably took place a bit less than a year before, but then I realized that BoJack was honest to goodness looking just plain fucking creepy and acting the part as well.

So I hated everyone in that scene, yet I pitied them. It was one of those times life didn't pick a winner, just flipped the gameboard and cursed everyone off.

I had a feeling it was something like that. Everything aside though, I would love to see an erotic comic with these to going at it. I mean Penny is just cute as heck, while Bojack, being the alcoholic womanizer that he is, is too tempting a treat. And also....did I mention Bojack is a freakin' DRAFT HORSE?

after coming to her senses, she could consider of what if she get pregnant of bojack, the kids in school would call her a slut for loving an old guy that is her mom's age and wouldn't be ready to have a baby with her mom's friend, it would be worse for bojack because the media would label him a pedo and bad father
