I can tell you now that over a year passing by, they didn't patch it, nor was there a "Shadow patch" for it either.

Even more: an early prototype of Starfox Adventures was found, back from when it was still an N64 game called 'Dinosaur Planet'. Even though Krystal's early design is more modest (wearing a dress instead of a loincloth bikini), she still isn't wearing anything under it. In fact, it looks like there's some subtle texture detail down there.

You know, I personally think the smash bros "details" are just an artifact of how the textures came together, but this looks to me like it was intentional. I could totally buy some old rare devs getting a kick out of putting an uncensored upskirt shot in the game knowing full well that no one could ever make it out at the resolution the n64 put out.
