Description

Apparently it's OK to publish anything remotely furry here, regardless of how offensive it is. So I guess this is acceptable?

Hi, yes it's okay to archive anything remotely furry here.

  • Wew, you're using the upload guidelines for an excuse to post shitty racist political cartoons. So what's the next step of your master plan?

Is it acceptable under submission guidelines? Technically yes.

Is it acceptable by the rest of community using this site? I think we can let the score speak for that.

  • Dang people really need to calm down. The more you complain the more power you give the word. If you just except that the n word is just a word and these are just drawings and nobody's clubbing men of melanin in the USA maybe we can erase color and just make a joke out of the prior squabbles we had over stupid things.

Not that attacks don't happen but very rarely in this great 1st world country. go bitch at China or better yet protest. Just don't get yourself whacked.

Blacklisting it doesn't change the fact that for some goddamn reason you figured this was perfectly okay to approve

Aight I'm tired so here. Ultimately this is just scribbles. 99.99% of the population isn't gonna see this and think about killing people of high melanin. If you claim it's propaganda ok but I think a HUGE majority of the population won't really commit violent acts against black people. People have a sense of morality and if not that's why we have the law. If you believe in free speech I wouldn't go complaining about photos that can be interpreted as racest. Also I think the original creator made this as a joke.

  • I am not easily offended, but this is an example of how not to do a racist joke. Because most "racist" jokes are written in such a way that even the race they're making fun of thinks it's funny, but by calling them useless and the slur, there's no comedic value in it, it's just a straight-up insult and not even in a funny way.

I feel like the idea could have been funny, but the way they worded it made it just sound blatantly malicious and cruel.

I'm not going to fight any admins or mods, but all I'll say is, we should have some stricter ground rules when it comes to this stuff.

For now, I'll just shut my mouth and use my blacklist because God damn.

    End rant.

  • #1 - this is not furry art - it's a political cartoon - it is irrelevant to site. Do people seriously not know what is and is not furry art anymore? Who even approved this? Secondly - funnyjunk meme site reposts are actually allowed here now?

Telling people "blacklist it if you dont like it" and for "comment violations for not blacklisting something" is just a piss-poor cop out for something that should have never been allowed on here in the first place and for refusing to delete it. It will only result in more people posting more images like this as long as it has a donkey or gorilla or orangutan or elephant or who knows what in it because its "Remotely furry"

This site has gone so far downhill in the last 11 years with both the admins in charge abusing their power to suit their personal needs, the overly specific to the point of lunacy tagging system, and removing people they don't agree with with the excuse of "hurrdurr you didnt read the rules" and the users allowed to continue argument and ranting comments - it is unreal.

We need a second e621 with better admins, or bring back the old admins from day 1 that actually knew what they were doing.

If the content of that cartoon were spoken exactly the same way in a comment instead, it would be considered trolling or causing drama, and the user would be at risk of getting a record if reported. The only difference is that someone drew the racist thing instead of typing it.

You do realize users are frequently banned for saying stuff that is nowhere near as offensive as the images they're commenting on, no? By that logic should any image deemed offensive be pruned?
