According to the author's comments on this page's post on FA, she's chained to the house.
As a side note: The author regularly responds to comments on the DeviantArt, FurAffinity, and Patreon postings of this comic, so if you're interested, then all three of those sites are good places to get more details (though they may sometimes contain minor hints/spoilers as to things that haven't happened yet).

Maybe the earth is a significant enough boundary to have a metaphysical effect on ghosts, or it's psychological and Neri just isn't ready to accept that the ground itself is inconsequential now.

Oh, the world that has yet to be shown. I loved this story when it first came out, but with it now being shown in comic form with more pictures will let us see better what the author has envisioned.
From both pages showing the chain, it looks like it goes off to the right both times. Once when she tries to escape from the back door directly away from it, and then again from what I assume is the right side of the back door when looking towards the house from yard so the side with the graveyard in it, but just out of frame. This implies that the chain is off to the left side of the house from the front yard, I'll bet it's either the basement or the graveyard that's got her stuck. Any ideas?
