  • A minute in and I'm confused. It's a movie shoot, who are these people? There's way too many jump cuts and am I suppose to care? There's absolute no pauses, very lucid dialogue that just flows superfluously & I just don't get why.

The missionary is really the only 'tolerable' piece about it. It's a fever dream that he edited, directed and made it all that I can't understand why he didn't pass this through someone else or get tips/pointers from. If he did and people still call it good, I'm at a loss.

    Well, as they say.

"Movies are made in the editing room." I feel like if he actually harnessed some form of directorial talent, he could make something truly 'good', but much like a lot of his other work, it leaves a lot to be desired.

This criticism is meant to be constructive, mind you. Editing, better shot composition, and better voice acting/storyboarding would probably make his animations score some really high marks.

  • something tells me this was either for a con, for a specific customer with all the knowledge of the characters, fan-art of a comic with context... or just a poor attempt at context.... I mean somehow in hell I managed to gather that two teams are competing for ownership of the beach and it's dictated by alien bug creatures. This is how it feels to go to a party for a specific sports championship you know nothing about, with people you don't know, in a language you don't speak. I feel logically cuckolded and I don't like it. There's no blacklist tag for inside jokes and bad pacing.

I'm in the same camp. The only thing I could follow is that one guy had to choose between two girls to I guess do a shoot with but couldn't choose one so they had a competition to see who does the shoot with him....? And they ended up draining him dry instead if I interpreted the wierdness that was this animation correctly.

  • So I tried to watch through the first bit to understand what was going on but I didn't so then I just skipped around and found the porn. Seriously though, the dialog was super confusing and it just jumped around all over the place instead of explaining anything.

But I think worst of all is everyone saw and read the flier but no one said out what it was about or explained their plan now that they have read it. It was all inferred/implied.

  • The 2d characters really need more expression, it gets really awkward staring at their constant smiling.

  • An episode of Legion makes more sense than this. Hell, a Phantasm movie makes more sense! Can't say I wasn't entertained though so I will give an upvote.

And HOLY SHIT, it's Champagne and Sasha! This takes me back to 15 years ago when I first discovered furry porn!

  • I chuckled every time the bug spoke.
I see a lot of hating in the comments but i dont mind this entertainingly shitty adult swim humor. It's not like we're really here for a deep story, anyway.

  • Good animation, good plot, and overall to a beginning episode. Here's some criticism, the flow of the story was way too fast with little to no pause and so it made taking time to look at everything and the characters difficult. The strong blend of 3d and 2d models is rather jarring and would be best left to an either or decision, not both. The lack of character introduction is a big no no. If it wasn't for the subtitles none one would know names to start, and with lack of characters calling names to each other it throws things off a lot. The beginning was hard to get into and that's kind of bad for a episode 1, the first 5 minutes should be about exposition and character introduction. This beginning skips all that and goes straight into multiple character developments.
