She is a female in the novel that the artist released. This comic is based on the story. It's a good read, you should go give it a try, its worth it ^^ :)

I think you should post the corresponding chapters to fill in the blanks.(leave it in the desc) The visuals are beautiful, (im in love with them) but they don't fill in the gaps of the story of the true character you depicted in the novel. Someone tuning into this via the comic itself can't really understand the character arc from this alone.
