  • What I'm wondering is, having played VR;

    How are they tracking the lower half of the body?
    They've got the controllers as their hands, and the head is the headset obviously, but anyone who has played VR knows that the lower body w/o a tracker on it, is tied to your headset.

    So, how is the lower body moving w/o the headset moving forward/backwards? HTC vive tracker?

    This was recorded using vive trackers on the waist and feet. They won't be required to play the game but it does help with immersion.

    And companies are trying to develop more body tracking options

  • Do the controllers vibrate when touching things? I hope so, that's always been one of the best ways to convey a sense of 'touch' in a VR game that I've found, yet so many games don't use it.

    Currently there's haptic feedback if you touch his chest - the controllers vibrate with the sounds of his breathing. I don't have a general vibration when touching everything though.

    Are you planning on adding different types of dragons or maybe even other beasts to the game?

    Yes. This v0.6 will be mainly setting up some new game mechanics and controls, and after this will be more content-focused updates like other sex positions, player/partner species options, and an expanded world environment.

    Ah, that's nice you can feel the breathing. Would vibration at touching the body in general be something you might consider adding in the future? Without some tactile feedback, games always just feel completely empty. Like a ghost moving through a world that may move when you touch it, but isn't real at all. Which kind of defeats the purpose of VR, to my mind.

    Yeah, this is my biggest gripe with VR at the moment - it's mostly an empty experience. It doesn't matter that much in some games that either get around the issue with good, simple mechanics (Holopoint, The Lab, Beat Saber) and/or story (Half-Life: Alyx). Other games that have lots of interaction as the core appeal of the game (GORN, Blade and Sorcery and especially all the porn games) will feel empty and uninteresting because the very thing that they're supposed to simulate is something that VR cannot simulate just yet (and will not for a long time).

    And we're decades away from "full dive VR". I just hope it will happen during our lifetimes.

    Not that this will address all of the issues, but I am planning some buttplug.io support for v0.6 - so if you've got a wifi-enabled sex toy (buttplug, penetrable, cockring, etc such as from lovense) they'll vibrate in sync with the corresponding action in-game.

  • How have I not seen this yet?! This is just incredible, I can't wait for more furry games like this. I don't think I've seen anything like this for VR before now. Awesome work!
