judging from the size of those leaves, she's gotta be a really tall woman, right?

And judging from the binding ropes and the charms affixed to them, she's some sort of deity or spirit who is in naughty jail.
I can't read (or type) Hanzi, so I have no idea what the character around her neck means but the coins are probably standard Imperial mint coins.

  • It looks like Cash (Chinese ancient coin). The words “死” on it mean death(die or dead).
The words “崇” on her neck mean high, as well as respect. It can refer to things or people being tall. It can also mean high in thought or spirit.

Interesting. I wonder if she's some sort of reaper/liminal deity then.
I know the Japanese term is shinigami, but I haven't the foggiest if there's a direct Chinese equivalent.
Heck, considering the history of Kanji and Hanzi, she might still be a Japanese spirit who was bound a loooooong time ago.

I also think this work shows the God of death. But it doesn't seem to correspond to any God in the "冥界"(A world where people will go after death) in Chinese culture.
The Chinese translation of Shinigami is "死神". Usually refers to the image of holding a sickle in popular culture.
