  • never trust those claw grabbers, they're actually programmed to not grab onto the prizes until after a certain amount of tries.

Wait, it's rigged by it's programming? I just thought those machine's claws were made of Shitty, Cheap and Flimsy Plastic.

The Claw Machine Rabbit Hole goes too deep man.

I actually have played quite a few. I think the machine is designed so that once the claw drop is complete the mechanism goes slack. That way the weighted ends come together but there is no force keeping them closed on what they grab. I managed to get holiday Sonic, Knuckles, and Shadow plushes from those machines. The trick is to try and drop the claw where it might hook a part rather than depending on it to grip. And since those characters had massive heads and odd bits sticking out the claw got caught and dragged them over to the opening. I always cut off the holiday stuff because it's just cheap add-on stuff. Shadow didn't even have his white spot on his chest. He was wearing a "Happy Birthday America" shirt. I just got some thick white felt and some fabric glue to make him look right. Those three are my favorites because each was an accomplishment to get.

Damn, you the type of guy to go to the Chuck-E-Cheese and only play the machine that had the best time-to-ticket ratio, just so you could grind out all those 50,000 ticket prizes that probably only cost the Franchisiee 10 bucks at a Salvation Army.

    Not a criticism, I'm just saying you're a Man On A Mission.

I used to do that at an arcade. The Deal Or No Deal cabinets often shuffle at slightly different speeds and I could track the top prize about 9/10 times.
