I think I get Jayden. She's not cold or emotionally distant or just being a bitch. I think she's just tired. This feels like a song and dance that she's been through so many times that it's lost its luster. You can try to help, you can give the best advice you can, you can do everything within your power to try and get people to just be rational, think things through, and realize that hurt feelings aren't the end of all existence, but you know that no matter what you do, people just aren't happy unless they're unhappy. There is nothing that can stop the drama no matter what you do to show that it's a colossal waste of everyone's time.

On the plus side, it looks like Keith is at least willing to listen. There was a small boil over, but reason won through. Major credit there. Almost anywhere else, that exchange would have ended in "Betrayal! I can never trust you again!!! Draaaaammaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!"

As much as I want the twins to have a happy relationship, I do feel bad for Keith having to go through this.

Rather than blow up his response was to sit and think about what to even do in this sort of situation, which is a pretty reasonable response.

It's not exactly something one can ask others about either given the taboo nature of sibling incest so even him sitting alone with his thoughts makes sense.

I think most of us have that inner sanctum/ fortress of solitude place we need to get away to when we need time to think or just turn off the world. For my late wife it was a fairly famous state park about a 90 minute drive outside of Chicago ( that she brought me into once we became an item but would still do the solo need me time trips. For me it was a bit closer but to just go sit by a river and watch the water flow and barge tows move up and down river and be with my thoughts. Think a lot of people in my life at least had those places special to them and obviously this is Keith's and clearly Jayden is in his inner circle to know of it.

See, that's actually a good depiction of how close their relationship is. He knows she knows him well enough that when she asks how his reaction to her knowing would be different, he just lets it go. Even with something that earthshattering.

These last 2 pages (along with the "special" on Willitfit's comic) make me really curious about Keith and Jaydens' relationship and past together. They clearly are not your traditional couple or Unit, nor "just fuck-buddies" but something more deeply connected. They both almost seem like different people when together and clearly, only, for the better! Even if not intended, to convey such thing with just couple of pages in incredible talent!

I can definitely see that. They could very easily be old flames that split because of less conflicting reasons. Had to move for a better job or just wanted different things at that point in time. No matter what the media says there are plenty of reasons for two people to break up that won't result in them becoming bitter enemies to the death. Unfortunately it seems that Bethany was part of the majority that just couldn't internalize that fact and had to act like a jealous teenager.

As the story progresses i see jayden more and more as a girlfriend more and more and less and less of prostitute

Well at least everyone that matters are in the loop, so when CPS start their shit because of the school girl who thinks he is sleeping with his daughter, Jayden has his back.
