I mean, promiscuity dosn't necessarily mean that a person is making actual connections, either. people can still have antisocial tendencies while having lots of sex.

If that's Olivia's take on the situation, then no wonder Gracie was so harsh with her view on her clothing designs. Perhaps Olivia's designs weren't focused on having people say, "you look beautiful in that," instead it was "I'd love to take that off of you." The latter phrase, in this particular scenario, would be an insult in the fashion world as its the equivalent of tossing aside what they put their heart and soul into.
