Just like in real life insects, the organs are "tubes" that stretch through the whole body.
Tiiii12
MemberYeah, the whole lungs part is my favorite thing about them, the reason they were so big a long long long time ago was because there was a lot more oxygen and it could actually get further into the insects, but as the oxygen levels went down it couldn't get far enough into the body of the insects and they to become smaller, since they don't actually force air in like we do. It's so cool.

BirbFace
MemberQuite unusual anatomy. Especially with the heart and nervous system seeming to have swapped positions to regular bug anatomy.
The "lungs" of a bug is usually a series of holes along the side of the abdomen that rather passively takes up oxygen, so that's also an interesting approach with this.
Now, this is fiction, so being pedantic is pointless. Still happy to see some more actual bug-like anatomy now and again.

MemberHexapods dont have lungs or air sacs though. they just have tubes that carry atmospheric oxygen directly to the tissues.
