The Typhlosion story at least is mistranslated somewhat. It's more accidentally becoming one with the spirits and wilderness less rape and memory loss.

So the rumor (I'm not saying I started but someone did) that legendaries need a humans in order to reproduce may actually have fertile ground?

Nah, dialga and palkia had kids together
