MemberI love this image so much because it opens up so many possibilities with this SCP's concept. That 1471/1471-A has always been around, haunting different people's lives across eras, and the cell phone app was just an adaption to modern times.
Like in this image, a knight in medieval times haunted by a beast he can never slay, always looking at him curiously through the reflections of his sword or the ripples of the water. A lekythos depicting a Greek woman looking into her hand mirror and screaming at the beast's glowing white eyes looking back at her. A Chinese man in the Zhou dynasty polishing his lucky coin, so he can speak to the creature that lives inside its reflection. A barber in the 1930s coming to terms with the wolf-like ghost in his shop's mirrors that stares, unflinching, at everyone who steps inside.
Transmitted through anything and everything it can manage. Potions, incantations, signatures, wishing wells, vinyl records, audio cassettes, computer viruses, and finally, a conspicuous app that promises you won't ever have to worry about loneliness ever again. The ultimate canine companion for mankind, because she'll never leave.
