Flight got delayed five hours. Mechanical problems; sat on runway another three. Flight itself took nine. Arrive and the airport has "misplaced" my luggage. Missed connecting flight so have to wait until tomorrow for the next one, in this crappy little town. It's the middle of the night and pouring rain. Taxi service is nonexistent so I have to walk. No stores are open; I can't get new clothes or even an umbrella. Only hotel in town is this shady looking one with a slutty tigress as the receptionist.

"You look like you've had a bad day," she smiles at me with a purr.

I glare back. She has no idea. My room is on the third floor, and there are no elevators. Almost break my neck slipping on the stairs, twice. All I want to do is get up to my room and collapse into bed... I open the door and see this fox.

I've never believed in karma. But tonight, I think I might start.
