Because this version is half Dragon type
(Nintendo fucked up once more)

MemberNintendo has nothing to do with Pokemon, that'd be The Pokemon Company, and they actually got it right. Alolan Exeggutor is based off the Dracaena family of trees, which are known as "Dragon Trees" in Hawaii.

MemberThe Pokemon Company is a subsidiary of Nintendo that handles the licensing and marketing of Pokemon. Nintendo owns the copyright and provides to funding.
Furrin Gok
MemberIncorrect, Nintendo is one of three owners, so it's not a subsidiary at all. Game Freak and Creatures also have ownership over it.
Ko-san
MemberA subsidiary is a company owned by another company. Considering Nintendo, Creatures and Gamefreak all parent the company, it is a subsidiary of Nintendo. Just as well, Creatures is also partially owned by Nintendo having split off from the subsidiary APE, though don't wish to de vulgar just how much of the company they own. Gamefreak would be the only company that can easily work separate from Nintendo, and even then they can't use Pokemon. The way I see it, Nintendo owns Pokemon, the characters, the moves, etc. Creatures owns the art and design of the TGC, various toys and games they've helped develop and Gamefreak holds rights over the games they've made.
