An iconic character of Blizzard's World of Warcraft. He is the son of famed Warsong Orc clan chieftan Grommash Hellscream, and led the warriors of the Horde into battle numerous times. After the Cataclysm expansion, Garrosh's newfound title of Warchief of the Horde,followed by various happenstances such as the destruction of the pandaren homeland and accidental murder of Cairne Bloodhoof, led to various infighting and outright civil war between the Warsong orc who followed Hellscream (the Kor'kron) and the rest of the Horde.

By making deals with a drake of the Infinite Dragonflight, he managed to forge his own new "Iron" Horde in an alternate timeline of his original homeworld Draenor. After killing the drake, he started a siege upon the regular-timeline Azeroth and through the efforts various mortal champions, the Iron Horde was put to a stop, and Garrosh was killed by his former master and friend, Thrall.

He was in possession of his father's famous axe, Gorehowl, when Thrall gave it to him after telling the young Garrosh of how Grommash helped save the orcs from demonic influence.
