Alolan Marowak is a Fire/Ghost type variant on "normal" Marowak, a Ground-type Pokémon.

Alolan Marowak is a bipedal Pokémon. On its stomach, Alolan Marowak is very light brown in color, as opposed to most its body, which is a dark purple - nearly black. Alolan Marowak’s head is composed of the skull it once wore as a mask, when it was a Cubone. It can no longer remove the skull, as it became a part of its body.

The Marowak in the Alola region take bones and light both ends on fire by rubbing them against their skull foreheads. The fire takes on a ghostly blue-green hue. Then they spin the bones around! Alolan Marowak’s rarity and its fearsome appearance when it dances with its bone led the people of Alola to dub it a conjurer and regard it with fear.
