Butt jiggle describes a slight wobbling motion of the buttocks in reaction to other movement (making it a "secondary motion"), for example, the buttocks moving from a character jumping or walking.

Butt jiggle can be most easily seen in animation, with the butt cheeks shown wobbling in place, rippling, changing shape, and/or squishing into each other. These "butt physics" might also be emulated in still images, however, in most still images, butt jiggling is often communicated by small curved motion lines around the buttocks, sometimes along with "inaudible"/"non-literal" onomatopoeia like "wobble" or "jiggle" (sounds that wouldn't actually occur in real life).

Note: Butt jiggling should not be confused with shaking butt or bouncing butt.

"Causes" of butt jiggling include...

• A character with a large butt walking or running
• A character jumping or making a sudden movement
• A character being thrust into during sex or dry humping
• A character thrusting their hips
• A character slapping their own butt, or their butt being spanked
• A character shaking their butt, or twerking
