Hotpants refers to a variant of shorts which cover, at most, less than half of the wearer's thighs. Hotpants are also commonly known as "short-shorts" and sometimes called "booty shorts".
Subcategories of Hotpants
- minishorts - short hotpants, often having a similar amount of coverage as a pair of panties
- daisy dukes - denim hotpants created by cutting the legs off of full length jeans or denim shorts, they will have frayed or fringed pant legs, and often, the pockets of the garment stick out.
