Antlions are a group of insects in the family Myrmeleontidae, made famous for their fiercely predatory habits of their larvae, sometimes known as doodlebugs. The adults of these insects are much less well known due to them being nocturnal.

Not to be confused with the dragonfly or damselfly, though they may be mistakenly identified as such.
