The Kamen Rider Series (仮面ライダーシリーズ) is a Japanese media series created by manga artist Shotaro Ishinomori. Starting off with an iconic television program that began in 1971, the series has remained popular for multiple decades. Productions generally feature a motorcycle-riding superhero with an insect motif, the eponymous Kamen Rider, who fights supervillains. Many of them are humanoid monsters, known as kaijin, with analogous motifs.
