Amazons are a civilization from Greek myth. They are a matriarchal warrior culture, with a strongly misandrist (man-hating) mindset.
Usually used to depict any big, strong, and/or muscular woman; who generally look like they can crack a head/watermelon with their thighs alone.
They are a race as well as a culture, but in modern times aren't seen as such anymore. Because of their tough warrior description, they are often portrayed in art as dominant in a sex act. The general term when one sees one is "Snu-snu".
