Hollow Knight is a Kickstarted, hand-drawn 2D side-scrolling action adventure video game franchise in the Metroidvania style. It was developed by Team Cherry.
Its cast of characters almost entirely consists of stylistically 2D rendered anthro arthropods, hymenopterans, gastropods and other insects.
The first game "Hollow Knight"(2017) features The Knight as the player character. The sequel to the first game in this franchise, "Hollow Knight: Silksong"(TBA) features Hornet as the player character.

Main Characters:
- The Knight: Main Character in Hollow Knight. They are the child of the Pale King and the White Lady. Cute as that they are, they have been given many nicknames in their travels:
- "Little Ghost" - Hornet.
- "(Little) Traveller" - Elderbug, Oro, Nailsmith.
- "(Little) Wanderer" - Bretta, Relic Seeker Lemm, and more.
- Hornet: Main Character in Hollow Knight: Silksong. Daughter of Herrah and an unknown father, (actually the pale king.) she was a boss fight in "Hollow Knight", and returns in "Hollow Knight: Silksong" as the player character.
