Species: silver-eared mesia

The Silver-eared mesia (Leiothrix argentauris) is a passerine bird belonging to the laughingthrush family Leiothrichidae. It is a colorful bird featuring yellow and underparts, with a black crest and a patch of silver markings on the sides of the head. The wings contain patches of yellow, red, and silver feathers. Males and females are have moderate sexual dimorphism with the rumps being red on males and orange on females.
