imminent vore
Imminent Vore describes posts where a character or the viewer is about to be swallowed, ingested, absorbed, or inserted into the body of another character. This can be implied by dialogue, actions, or context of later panels in the case of a comic. Imminent Vore is the "first part" of a vore scenario - compare with the opposite, After Vore.
Tagging Notes
- A solo mouth shot is NOT enough to be tagged as "imminent vore"
- ...unless it can be implied or explicitly seen that the viewer is falling into the character's mouth, is on the character's tongue, in their mouth, or is being held by the character above their mouth, a character merely showing off their open mouth should not be tagged as imminent vore or vore
- It can also be implied by dialogue in the image that the character is about to eat the viewer or another unseen character
- Imminent_vore and vore should NOT both be tagged on a single post unless a character is actually consumed
- due to tag implications, use imminent vore sub tags (see section bellow) instead of vore type tags (oral_vore, anal_vore etc.)
- If a character is being chewed or injured through biting, it should be tagged as hard vore, if they are being cooked or butchered, it should be tagged as cooking with furs rather than imminent_vore
- If a character is casually laying, sitting, or laying inside the mouth, or on the tongue of a larger character, with no implication that they will be eaten, using in mouth and/or on tongue instead may be more appropriate, use your best judgment whether a post should be tagged as imminent vore or not

Imminent vore should rarely be tagged by itself. The applicable subtag should also be used.

- A character with body parts such as their feet, hands, or even their head, partially inserted into an orifice, or with the potential predator positioned to engulf them with an orifice — if the character is merely performing deep rimming, head insertion, or snoutfuck, use those tags instead of imminent vore
- A character holding the viewer in first person view - or dangling another, smaller character - above their mouth
- A character partially in the mouth of another character or being dropped into an open mouth
- A character fighting to escape a larger character's mouth
- Forcing another character against their belly (sometimes butt or genitals depending on the type of vore), usually involving stomach growling and taunting, with a predatory look or expression of hunger
- A character looming over another with clear body language or dialogue implying hunger (e.g. rubbing their stomach, stomach growling, drooling, licking lips)
- A character spreading their vagina, urethra or butt/anus, while holding another character with the intent to shove them inside
- In cock vore particularly, the predator character's penis "looming over" another character, with the clear implication that the member will swallow them up
- In first person, this may involve the orifice spread directly in front of the viewer, almost always with dialogue stating the character's intent
