the hanged man (tarot)

One of the Major Arcana defined in tarot. In typical portrayals, the Hanged Man is a person hanging upside-down from a structure. They are generally calm and serene, with a halo of light around their head representing enlightenment.

In cartomancy, the upright Hanged Man arcanum is interpreted as pause, surrender, letting go, and new perspectives.
The reversed Hanged Man arcanum is interpreted as delays, resistance, stalling, and indecision.
