the world (tarot)
One of the Major Arcana defined in tarot. In typical portrayals, the World is a scene of a naked person: they hold the Magician's batons, representing ability, and the same animal tetramorph depicted in the Wheel of Fortune appears in the corners. The figure is whole, at one with the universe around them.
In cartomancy, the upright World arcanum is interpreted as completion, integration, accomplishment, and travel.
The reversed World arcanum is interpreted as seeking personal closure, taking shortcuts, and experiencing delays.
