kogal

A style of Gyaru that incorporates Japanese school uniforms. For obvious reasons, the style is primarily worn by high school students, though not exclusively.
Typical Gyaru accessories are worn alongside the school uniform, and loose socks are also a common element. Kogals often wear miniskirts and microskirts, and platform boots.
The kogal subculture is based in a rejection of the traditionalist and nationalist views common in Japan, with kogals engaging in "mindless consumerism" through things like buying expensive (or knock-off) designer clothing, partying, going to photo booths, and more.
