Species: djinni (golden sun)
Djinn (singular "Djinni") in the Golden Sun series are spirits representing the classical elements that were once sealed with the power of alchemy, but released and spread throughout the world of Weyard at the beginning of first game. They can change the attributes and available psynergy magic of whoever they're attached to, and altogether make up the backbone of the combat and class system in the series. Many of them are waddling heads, and ones found wandering around will often be commented on by NPCs. They are intelligent and capable of speech, but very few of them have lines of dialog.
There are four types, one for each element: Venus Djinn for earth, Mars Djinn for fire, Jupiter Djinn for wind, and Mercury Djinn for water. Each individual in each type looked identical in the first two games, but they were given individual appearances in the third game, Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. The original designs were given to Flint, Fever, Gust, and Chill. Their names and appearances will usually reflect their individual abilities based on an aspect or application of their element.
