Deep Pressure Stimulation (DPS) or Deep Pressure Therapy is a type of therapy using pressure or weight to help people with sensory sensitivity calm down. Usually used for people with autism.
Common applications are
-a trusted person laying on the overstimulated person or using a weighted blanket.
-a trusted person hugging or squeezing the overstimulated person.
This should be done with permission and is not forced.
