Isabelle (JP Shizue, しずえ) is a character from the Animal Crossing series of games, she is a yellow and gold shih tzu dog, and acts as a cheerful secretary to the player character. Isabelle first appeared in Animal Crossing: New Leaf (2012), and has since gone on to become one of the most popular and recognizable characters from Animal Crossing, and the de facto mascot of the franchise, showing up in other Nintendo properties such as Super Smash Brothers and Mario Kart to represent the series.

Her name is a play on how her head and ponytail resemble a bag of bells (the currency in-game), as well as the bells she wears in her hair. She is the twin sister of Digby.
