To my knowledge, there is no way to search for Orphaned images, those without any tags or simply no artist tag. I could write a script, going through each page searching for "<li class="tag-type-artist">" using grep, but this would be fairly bandwidth consuming; I'd rather not do it without permission. Rather I would prefer to be able to search for them on their own merit, since some people -- who will remain nameless-- think it's okay to post images without them or even the common decency to use the unknown_artist tag or the tagme tag. I recently spent a whole night going through one poster's images finding a good 1461 orphaned artists from this SINGLE user.

I really must know, is there any way to search for them without brute force?
