Hey folks!

This is your epochly reminder that there is in fact an e621 steam group!
I bet you did not know that. I'm sure at least some of you knew that.
It never does anything ever, but perhaps that could change at some point in the future!

Why do I bring this up now? Well, I just discovered games in my library can now have more than one category and I just got done nicely arranging my 200+ games. Goodie!
It also gave me enough perspective to make use of the favourites category which I previously was not ballsy enough to fill. I'm quite proud of my top games list!

If you wanna know...

Bastion
The Binding of Issac
Bioshock Infinite
Borderlands 2
Cave Story
Dark Souls 2
Dishonoured
Elder Scrolls v: Skyrim
Fez
Goat Simulator (No, I don't care what you say. Best Game Of All The Years.)
Half Life 2 (The whole series but ep. 2 was my favourite.)
Hotline Miami
Mass Effect 2
Papers, Please
Portal 2 (Actually liked the sequel more than the original.)
Civilization 5
Sir, You Are Being Hunted
Spelunky
Watch_dogs
The Wolf Among Us

There's already been a few 'favourite games' threads, so let's just talk about Steam generally. Although if you do have a particular fav that's blown you away recently...

I've already got too many groups I'm in and e621 is one of the last things I'd want to join on Steam.

There's an another group, but it's even less active.

I've already joined both groups. It's interesting to see what others are playing. Doesn't really differ from other groups though, hardly any furry games..

Oh interesting, but I wouldn't join with my main account, where I have all the people that knows me personally :P. maybe with an alt though.

In my experience no one ever actually cares about what groups you're in... unless you're in one of those clans, I guess who have lil in-game wars or something. So I have no particular shame in joining the group!
I feel like theoretically someone *could* discover a lot about me if they were really determined about it, but my rebuttal would be "Congratulations, you've discovered what I masturbate to. Now please explain why the fuck you're spying on me."

Dust: An Elysian Tail

Oh, is that good? I keep hearing lots of indie guys praising it but I know literally nothing about it other than 'it has furries'.

It's a metroidvania game, and a good one, at that.
I don't usually even like the genre, but Dust was an exception. Recommended, and not just because of the anthros.

Still, I wouldn't want to join a group on Steam that revolves around a site of animal people fucking. That's shit I keep to myself.

Oh god I'm the admin of this thing, which is probably not for the best since I don't game very much at all.

I don't know if e621 will ever make any official use of its Steam group, but it's worth holding onto just in case I suppose.

I have steam but I'm not in there! :D

Really, I'm not in many groups and the few people I know and have in my friends list, by closer to farthest (as in knowing them), are my brother, Jatix and Sumatchi...

Updated by anonymous

I'm not entirely sure I want my friends and family that are on Steam to know that I hang out here.

Joining first. But i doubt we would actually play together, ya know, ping problems

And now the group has exactly 621 members. Fitting.

With the new Steam Curator feature, you could use it to recommend furry games. Ahaha.

The Steam group has 1181 members now, over twice as many as last year. Which is pretty impressive. So I thought that I'd bump this, just to make the new users aware of it.

I joined, hope to have some more people to game with, mainly for verdun, RO2 and terraria. but ill play others

tbh, i don't have all that much use for steam. i have around 4-5 games and 1 mmo in my game library. would be nice if it were easier to navigate that infernal mess they call a store. it's like GoG's but much more of a...clusterfuck of a mess. i can sort and filter but theres no way to simply browse things in general without doing that or searching and digging through game pages, "similar game" links, and other crap.

it just makes it needlessly hard to find anything unless you know exactly what your looking for and type it in the stores search bar.

oh and fun fact: steam can act as a media player for music in AND out of games your playing at the time which is kinda neat, i guess.

I only use Steam for gaming and conversations with friends. Not really for groups...

Really? I've been using Steam for years and I've never had any problems with finding games on the store page.
On top of all the abundant and frequent discounts.

the spam on the discussion page is unbearable

Welcome to Steam, where there are no rules and you can spam, insult and harass anyone without repercussions.
It sucks like that. That's why e621 reassures me I don't have to deal with those kind of things.
