The moment I first heard of this, I decided I'm absolutely not going to waste any of my time on this rubbish.

A wise action, which I suggest all users should act upon. Not worth it becoming the punching bag for people trailing their coat on these matters.

I never would have imagined that furries of all people could be stupid freaks!

Me neither haha.

Never seen the purpose of having it, nobody ever reads your texts anyway unless you wasted a big portion of your leisure on tweeting day in day out, slowly becoming noticed...

On the other side of the coin, here on e621, it feels a lot better, since your blip is on the front page for pretty much a day, therefore fuel for purposeful and/or nice conversations.

I just hate Twitter for the fact it forces everyone on it to type as if they were on those old phone text plans (before smartphones) where you have to condense everything and you wind up sounding like an illiterate highschooler, regardless of your actual literacy level.

I'll stick to Facebook and other things that allow me to type out full paragraphs, also, staying the fuck away from Tumblr, too many god damn SJWs.

just attention seekers and trolls. nothing new

This is pretty much just ~begging~ for 4chan to fuck with them... 4chan probably saw that Fox News segment and thought "Yay, let's write down those names of those posters and go fuck with them."

Who the fuck thought that sending lewd messages to a person who is managing the Twitter account for a corporate mascot would be a good idea? How did this shit even start in the first place... To "throw a bone" or "give the benefit of a doubt" I guess ~maybe~ it started off with 4chan folks going to Tony's twitter page and saying dumb stuff for fun, and then later other people just decided to "roll with it?"

Half my really good jokes are D.O.A. because of this alone.

Character limits are stupid. Twitter makes no fucking sense. You are on the internet, let me type what I want... even Youtube stopped having character limits in their comment section.

I will accept the limitations on my blips if it means stupid people don't get to use them to be obnoxious, though.

Let's not set Youtube as the high benchmark here. The average youtube comment is allowed to be longer? It just means the average youtube commentator has that much more space to be loud, dumb and terrible at living.

And what, pray-tell, did I do to incur such wrath.

I mean... I'm not on Tony The Tiger's twitter requesting dick pics and cum frostings... and getting plastered on Fox News and Gawker and HuffPost and what-have-you. I stay in my corner of the interbuttz and I don't go out of my way to deliberately fuck with other people... usually.

I am aware that the Youtube comment section sucks just as badly as /b/ itself and may as well be an extension of it, however, I was mostly bitching about text limitations in general. Having to type in 140 characters or less forces me to communicate in ways I would rather not.

oh no, now you've made the pedofurs horny

Why isn't there an upvote button on the forums?! I can't stop laughing

Anyways, people get fucked with all the time, I'm not surprised someone spammed "Tony The Tiger" With furry stuff. More or less I'm surprised it took this long.

edit: as for sticking with facebook. congratulations, you have now sold most or all personal info to ad companies by proxie (facebook being the proxie). have fun with that.

There's nothing forcing you to enter your personal info to facebook, and the # symbol is actually the Pound symbol according to telephones. It's got a lot of different names, so saying "It's only known as the number symbol" is kind of a ridiculous claim.
