I mean, you could still access the site without an account. Getting suspended/kicked/etc wouldn't put much distance between you and the content.

i would think someone has more serious problems to worry about than masturbating if they do it that often. though i would suspect something a bit more...permanent (well, maybe not so permanent if certain medical science continues to progress) is the problem if you have trouble feeling anything down there. :/

I always find it strange that users want to have their account blocked. Why not just leave the site and not come back? It's rather simple. You can also just change your password to gibberish and then log out.

I'm not a particular fan of the protocol about this, since this might encourage users to put effort into getting banned, causing unnecessary malevolence on the site in the process.
I've heard that there's a change (or at least an idea) in the pipeline, but I don't know much about the whereabouts of that.

That would be interesting. Good to know, maybe it will involve that banned abilities change (like being able to favorite on banned accounts).

One thing I thing should change is where that banned notice is. Right slab in the middle of every page, with that large red box, feels overt. Maybe, instead, just a tab on your user page that declares that you are banned, instead of the box that stalks you...
