So, The Super Bowl is upon us in America. Panthers vs. Broncos. Time to make predictions, I guess.

My prediction:
Panthers-24
Broncos-25

Prediction time- Sunday 7th 2016. 3:00pm eastern time.

What's yours? Be sure to include date and time and relavent timezone as well.

Thanks, and have fun!

It is football. But not traditional football, but instead what Americans call football. Which I only know of cause I visit SC from time to time.

i wonder how much money that could be spent on FAR more important things gets wasted on events like the super bowl. seeing this thread reminded me of this video about how much money is thrown at the sports stadiums alone which could be put to vastly better use.

That would be the only reason for me to go there ^^
(But I wouldn't travel to another continent for that)

Saw the flyby, it wasn’t their most exhilarating stunt.
Still, they deserve all the credit for their perfect timing.

Well it's done now. I did get one number right, but that's about it and it wasn't even on the right team. Well crap. Good thing I'm not a betting lad.

Anyway, take care guys. See you around I guess.

I'm sure they're spending as much money on it as the USA are.

As much as I'd love to continue this pointless, irrelevant argument, do you always have to start shit?

Someone needs to talk to you about this habit of yours.

I see you've run out of arguments and need to resort to ad-hominem attacks now.

How long do the winning team get to keep the bowl for

Because the US is the only country that- oh, right.

Pointless and a really off-topic discussion.

But let's see what Germany sends: 6 Tornados exclusive for reconnaissance

And now look at what other states throw at them: Click me

(OK, the connection from the Base to drones are send over Ramstein here in Germany, too)

Don't get me wrong, I think fighting ISIS only with Planes doesn't lead to a solution, but nobody intends to send ground troops.

That's the point where the USA fails, invading Iraq for questionable reasons, fighting Taliban in Afghanistan but do nearly nothing against an enemy with "good" military equipment.

Without the USA no country will send troops there.

The War on Terror is on-topic:

Millions of tax dollars are spent on securing the Super Bowl and heightened surveillance of the public. The exact amount is unknown and you (americans) pay for it, not the NFL.

I’m sure that this is exactly what people who came here to talk about sports intended to discuss…

No, it’s tangentially related to the topic. This would be like going on a thread in which the OP asked what cars you think are cool and whining about how traffic accidents are the highest cause of death among young people.
There is a time and a place for that argument, but at that time and place all it serves to do is make you look like an argumentative jerk (as, admittedly, I did for escalating that nonsense).
You want to talk about the war on terror or wastes of taxpayer dollars? Why not make a thread that’s actually about that?

So yeah. Sports. I was hoping the underdog would win. Too bad the game wasn’t at least closer...

Outside of WWE wrestling and NBA basketball, I'm not too attentive of sports.

I'd ask how a conversation about sportsball managed to get onto the subject of war and politics, but honestly I don't know enough about shootscoring to even question whether or not it's a natural progression.
