This has been happening for the better part of a few weeks where random images are favorited and placed into my favorites without me actually putting them there.

Is it some sort of issue and sometimes it's just getting confused on where to put it? or is someone still using my username and somehow able to select them? (Did a name change to see if that was the issue, it happened again)

It could simply be that one of your old favorites had a better version uploaded and the old one deleted. In that case, the new one gets automatically added to your favorites for you, but at top of list instead of point in list old one was.

So, here's what's happening. When someone flags a post as inferior/duplicate it makes it the child (or parent, I can't remember) of the new post, and when it's deleted any favorites it had are transferred to the new post. You may have noticed that these posts didn't have your upvote; those don't transfer.

This recently happened with posts by Revadiehard and Freckles that were in my favorites.

Probably because it's doing a forced "Add to Favorites" for the affected people. The new image isn't actually directly replacing the old one.

(Pretty sure there's been a feature request for same-position replacement before...)

Thank fuck, I was worried someone got into my account. But yeah, same thing as described happened to me just now. Favorited post from 20 hours ago that I know I didn't see around that time, but is something I would've favorited. So the fav was transfered from the removed inferior version, but the upvote was not. Got it.
