Im just interested. I usually listen to my tagging playlist .

Coincidentally, I was just doing this last night. Not via YouTube (or I'd have to find all the songs because I organized them and cherry-picked for phone), but yes, I have a large list, and intend on adding more.

Regardless of what I'm doing, I typically have various types of video game music playing, usually from eastern games since many western game soundtracks tend to have generic Hollywood movie music. I have a preference for nonvocal tracks that seamlessly loop.

That sounds interesting, actually. Mind linking me/us a couple of playlists?

I normally do not listen to anything because it's tiny bit distracting and may take my brain elsewhere, but with tagging I usually listen to something as it's pretty boring thing where you don't have to think that much, just write what you see.

But always something without lyrics as lyrics start to mess with writing. Basically means game OSTs and chiptunes.

I just listen to random LP or funny videos on YouTube, or whatever random song pops up on my smartphone.

I also listen to LPs or other people play video games, but not when tagging. My current favorites, even when I repeat them, are TFSG Drunklestiltskin and TFSG Drunk Souls III , but pretty much most of their videos, and those on TeamFourStar, are good for listening to while doing repetitious actions on video games.

Tagging casually, anything I'd normally listen. I mean, why not? But when intensively tagging (like with large scale uploading), usually instrumental stuff for the same reason Mario mentioned, game or movie soundtracks tend to work lovely for that purpose. And otherwise something calm enough to the point where neither the music nor the vocals easily become distracting.

Though tonight I just couldn't give a damn for some reason, despite mentally being pretty occupied with that Yoshi portfolio and all the jazz surrounding it, so IIRC I've played these partially / entirely:

The New Age of Terror (Hirax)
My freshly received Manii EP, so like an actual itty-bitty piece of vinyl
Light of a Dead Star (Nehëmah)
Langs Galg en Rad (Fluisterwoud)
Coup de Metal (H-Bomb)
For Emma, Forever Ago (Bon Iver)
10.000 Hz Legend (Air)

I did mellow out a bit as the evening progressed I suppose. (^-^)

Sometimes. Tagging occupies my time, so it's nice to have a little background noise here and there. Usually a video or a stream or some such.
